Living for the Lord

Filed under: Uncategorized — Michael Wright @ 2:48 pm

I guess, based on statistical norms, I’m about half-way through my life expectancy. While nobody is guaranteed another day on this earth based on the norms I guess as a man I can expect to live until around the age of 74. I’m a 1970 model, so that makes me 38 this year.

We are taught in the Bible to live every day as if it will be our last day. My desire is to live every day with God’s purposes in mind for my life. I want to make every day count. These choruses are on my mind this weekend as I think about the responsibility I have as a Christian to be a good steward of my years here on this earth.

Let the Lord have His way, in your life, every day.

There’s no peace, there’s no rest;

‘Til the Lord has your best.

Place your life in His hands. Rest secure in His plan.

Let the Lord, let the Lord have His way.

I’m going to live the way He wants me to live,

I’m going to give until there’s just no more to give.

I’m going to love, love till there’s just no more love.

I could never, never outlove the Lord!

I Could Never Outlove The Lord

I will serve Thee because I love Thee;

You have given life to me.

I was nothing before you found me;

You have given life to me.

Heartaches, broken pieces,

Ruined lives are why You died on Calv’ry.

Your touch was what I longed for;

You have given life to me.

I Will Serve Thee

I pray that you are living your life according to God’s will. The first chorus says, “There’s no peace, there’s no rest; ’til the Lord has your best.” If you haven’t already done so, give the Lord your best…give Him your entire life. This is the way to live at peace with God.
